Audi A3 2.0 tdi 150 Remap

This 2013 vehicle is the 8V version that comes with 150ps ( 148Bhp ) standard – It has a Bosch EDC17C64 ecu that can be tuned via the OBD port as long as we have the software on our database – In this case we did and in 40 minutes the car is transformed with an extra 40Bhp and 80Nm of torque

So life catches up with you – married 3 kids days out to theme parks in your spacious people carrier – Its a nightmare but you can have a little fun by tweeking up the jalopy with a remap – getting it close to 200 bhp with a ton of torque might make days out a little more cheerful

I want one of these – No not because its a Merc or because the body styling is nice its the noise – Its just beautiful – they roar like no other car – Mercedes apparently spent a lot of time making the 450 Bhp C Class sound perfect and they got it spot on – Remap gains throttle response and decent power especially in the mid range – A very worthwhile map
VW Transporter T6 2.0 Bi-Turbo 204Bhp Remap

Carlsberg dont do remapping but if they did it would be remapping probably the best van on the market a Transporter T6 Bi Turbo with 204 Bhp stock – a great colour – 4000 miles on the clock – every concievable extra on the van – Kombi – Leather – Air – Cruise etc etc – A remap via the OBD port taking aproximately 1 hour to complete and more power, better response and improved economy
Abarth 500 Remap

The 1.4 Litre t-Jet engine uses a Bosch 7.9.10 ecu – not readable via OBD but we can still remap these if we have a s/w match on our database – well of course we do its Italian and the tuning equipment we use is Italian – despite the heavy rain we tuned this car in under an hour giving a great improvement in drivability – this was the 130Bhp version so gains of 30Bhp top end, limited by the teeny tiny turbo but it makes it a really zippy city car
Porsche 911 (997) Carrera 4S Remap

O Lord wont you buy me a Mercedes Benz – My friends all drive Porsches – well there is a reason for that they are bloody brilliant and timeless – sound fantastic and go like poo off a shovel – well once they reach 4000 rpm anyway – that is the point of remapping one, torque is limited lower down in the rev range the 20Bhp peak gain on a 350Bhp vehicle isn’t massive but the pull through the revs is miles better as is throttle response. Getting the best from the 3.8 litre flat 6 engine
BMW E53 X5 4.4 ECU Cloning
first in today was a pair of ecus through the post
The BMW X5 was suffering faults and the garage had rules out component failure back to the ecu – A new ecu will cost upwards of £1000 – In many cases we can clone a second hand ecu to run the vehicle at a fraction of the cost
This ECU was back in the post to the customer in under 2 hours
Vauxhall Insignia 2.0 CDTi Remap

A Bosch EDC17C18 ecu after 2009 needs tuning on the bench – The insignia is an easy one as the ecu is removed from the car in 20 seconds – As you can see we open the lid to connect to a boot pin and then lives , an earth and can high and can low cables connected allows reading a writing to the ecu
In under 90 minutes this taxi is back on the rank now faster and more economical
BMW E60 525D Remap

Do you remember when the first e60s came out – we knew teh 5 series BMW was a great car and we thought they had lost the plot with this design – now we dont take a second look and the predecessor E39 looks very old – This 525d is 13 years old now and one of the early ones with the 2.5 litre 174 Bhp engine, Mid 2007 saw the 252d becomming a downtuned 3 litre with 197Bhp.
The bosch edc16 ecu tunes well and improves on the 174 Bhp by 42 to 216Bhp and toque up by 90Nm – a really great gain
Ford Transit 2.0 TDCi 2.0 170ps Remap

Bit of fun today with the newest of the Transit Customs – This one the highest power at 170Bhp – The Siemens SID211 ECU needs connections to both sides of the board and one connection point is underneath a capacitor – It took a bit of gentle persuasion to open the ecu and flip the board but the gains are worthwhile – much much sharper throttle response and lots of extra torque – lower powered models will also tune to the level as hardware is identical across the range
VW Passat 2.0Tdi Remap

A Taxi that covers huge mileage as based from Gatwick Airport – A blend level map offers improved performance but also improved fuel economy – The remap completed in 45 minutes meaning little downtime and the fuel savings will cover the remap costs in no time

345Bhp stock from a 2.3 litre engine is lovely – 380 is fantastic – This Focus RS is a weapon as RS Ford have always been – Its not 1 step up from an ST its many steps up – All remapped via the OBD port in just over an hour results are great – Fast Ford just became even faster
