VW Caddy Maxi 1.9 TDi Remap

ECU Remapped 06/02/2015 in Kings Langley
Gain 38BHp 75Nm
this was a 2010 VW Caddy Maxi – but because it was the older style with the bigger headlights the 1.9TDi engine can be tuned via the obd port – I cant tell you how many of these engines we have tuned but its a lot and the gains are superb – 105 bhp is not enough in the Maxi van with its extra weight – Its now the van it should always have been

BMW 525D Remap flashremapping.co.uk

BMW 525D Remap

ECU Remapped 07/02/2015 in Bexleyheath
Gain 42Bhp 85Nm
In the BMW E60 a 525d is a 2.5 litre engine if before mid 2007 when it became a downtuned 3 litre so this was the 2.5 litre with 177BHp which is not bad and this was a low miles one owner car that is ripe for tuning 42bhp and 85Nm makes a superb car and driven in a reasonable fashion will see 10-15% improvement in mpg
Still hard to believe we find these cars on a weekly basis that havent already been tuned

ECU Remapped 07/02/2015 in Bexleyheath
Gain 40BHp 80Nm
Matthew is in the army and called us on Saturday to see if we could fit him in same day as he was back on duty on monday – we will always try our best to fit customers in as soon as possible and always do our best for our armed forces –
Great gains from the VW Golf which can be tuned in under an hour
Matthew will have no excuses for being late on parade now

ECU Remapped 09/02/2015 in Snodland
Gain 42BHp 85Nm
This is the second 2.5 litre 525d we have remapped in a week and the same great results – more power, smoother, better throttle response and more mpg – just a little worthwhile then

Ford Transit 2.2 TDCi Remap flashremapping.co.uk

Ford Transit 2.2 TDCi Remap

ECU Remapped 12/02/2015 in Bexleyheath
Gain 30BHp 60Nm
2007 Transit with only 42k miles that you have owned for 4 years – what do you do – calender wise its time to get a newer van but this one is super clean and does everything that it needs to – try and find one with that low a milage in this condition – How about giving it a remap 30 bhp extra and 60Nm of torque changes the van to virtually ST power – with better fuel economy – thats like getting a new van without getting a new van – Its now good for a few more years service

Mazda 6 2.5 Sport Remap flashremapping.co.uk

Mazda 6 2.5 Sport Remap

ECU Remapped 12/02/2015 in Orpington
Gain 12 BHp 15Nm
Not a common car this one and once we had read the file from the car it did not match up exactly with similar vehicle we have tuned before so we had to create a new settings ( maps) file to find all the relevant maps but this is not a problem and the car is now more powerful across the rev range and with better throttle response – out gains are realistic not like the 25bhp claimed gains that the customer had been told elsewhere – while this is a strong engine remapping alone would not get that sort of performance

ECU Remapped 12/02/2015 in Bexley
Gain 40BHp 80Nm
Black cars always look good and this A4 belied its 12 years of motoring – The 1.8T engine is also a great one to tune with good gains although a remap will find a weak coil pack or spark plug if it has one – it didn’t in this case though and lots of extra torque makes the pick up pretty exciting

Vauxhall Astra Van 1.7 CDTi Remap

ECU Remapped 14/02/2015
Gain 38BHp 75Nm
What an annoyance – these Astra vans are i/d only and as long as we have an original software we can modify and write via the obd plug – Now despite being 8 years old no original software was available so we had to pull the ecu from the front bumper and read BDM on the bench – made a bit easier as the van went on the ramp to get the ecu out – but all in worthwhile gains and still less than 2 hours to complete the job

Mercedes E350 CDi BlueTec Tuning flashremapping.co.uk

Mercedes E350 CDi BlueTec Tuning

FR Tuning module fitted 14/02/2015
Gain 40BHp 80Nm
We tried to tune the ecu on this Mercedes a week ago but found a new style unsupported ecu – although still an edc17 – so our option was to fit one of our tuning modules – a bit fiddly around the engine bay but we got it fitted and tidied up nicely. Its now swifter and more fuel efficient

Mercedes W230 SL350 Remap

ECU Remapped 15/02/2015 in Chalgrove
Gain 14BHp 24Nm
The 3.7 Litre engine in the Mercedes SL doesn’t get massive BHp gains but by tweaking the throttle map as well as the other maps available the drive becomes noticeably sharper. Feeling more nimble – These cars are extraordinary value at present, if you are in the market for a gt style sports coupe / convertible you should take a look at one of these

ECU Remapped 17/02/2015 in Wandsworth
Gain 30BHp 60Nm
Being a 63 Plate this is one of the last with the Bosch ME7.9.10 ecus
which can be tuned via the diagnostic port which is super quick to do , well under an hour. The microscopic turbo on these cars can give really nice 30-35bhp gains through the mid range right where you want it but less at the top end or you can save the boost to get top end power – Most of these cars are used as nippy city cars so mid range is more important and thats how we mapped this one and its certainly got some peppy feel now – just as the italians like it

BMW 640D F13 Remap

ECU Remapped 17/02/2015 in London
Gain 50 BHp 90Nm
A few days ago we read the software from this F13 BMW but needed time to find all the maps which took a day or so – today we went back to install the map on the car – now I have been in this car in stock form, fitted with a tuning box and with the gearbox tuned ( now all removed ) and let me tell you with the remapped ecu it is miles miles better than all of the stuff done before – the gains are an estimate as we didnt dyno test afterwards but boy this is one quick car

Peugeot 407 2.7 Hdi Remap flashremapping.co.uk

Peugeot 407 2.7 Hdi Remap

ECU Remapped 17/02/2015 in Medway
Gain 35Bhp 80Nm
Another remap for our friends at JRM Auto Repairs on the medway city estate – Nice gains from the Pug which Im told is used for the basis of ferrari replicas nowadays so you would want as much power as possible – although a 3.0 v6 petrol would probably be a better option than the oil burner. This engine however is shares with Jaguar Land Rover and we have tuned literally hundreds of them
If you are wondering why the FlashRemapping Mini is on the ramp in the background – well while the Pug was writing and a spare lift we took the opportunity to change the front brake pads

Audi A3 2.0 TFSi Remap

ECU Remapped 21/02/2015 in Potters Bar
Gain 50BHp 90Nm
If you are looking for a car that remaps well a VAG group 2.0 Tfsi engine goes like stink after a remap – massive gains in power and sharper throttle response its just so worthwhile and up to early 2010 models all doable OBD making it cost effective too

Mercedes SLK 320 W170 Remap

ECU Remapped 24/02/2015 in Kent
Gain 20Bhp 30Nm
a 2000 my Merc with only just over 50k miles in really good condition
the owner was contemplating changing car but as the old Mercedes advert says – I haven’t finished with this one yet – so the owner decided to make his current car the best it can be – its now more powerful and incredibly smooth giving it a new lease of life and keeping the owner happy for a few more years yet

LDV Maxus 2.5 CDi 135 Ps Remap flashremapping.co.uk

LDV Maxus 2.5 CDi 135 Ps Remap

ECU Remapped 25/02/2015 in Aylesford
Gain 20BHp 40Nm – Blue Optimize Remap
Every day it seems we see something new and despite having tuned thousands of cars this is the first LDV I have tuned personally – After getting the call from the customer looking for fuel savings for his Luton style LDV I checked on our system but this vehicle was not listed – but I could see from other systems that LDV 2.5s have been tuned before – I could see software numbers for 120ps versions and they were all Bosch edc16c39 ecus – now they would unlikely change the ecu for the 135bhp model and edc16s are pretty much all tunable via bdm – thats exactly what we did – remove the ecu from the van ( bit of jiggery pokery to get it out from behind a security cage behind the battery ) open up the ecu and drop a BDM probe on the pads – I started by trying to read as a astra H 1.9 cdti because the ecu is the same but the system told me to try a different protocol – LTI TX4 to be precise – so this van shares its ecu with a London Black Cab – It read , file was easy to modify adding extra torque low down and even pulling it back higher up range as these Luton vans are so un aerodynamic that high speed acceleration kills economy – and wrote back the file – easy as that – now the van is 10%+ more economical and much better to drive especially in the 2-3000 rpm range
