VW Golf GTi Remap

ECU Remapped 02/02/2017
Gain 50 Bhp 90Nm
The 2.0 TFSi GTi remaps extremely well and is easy to do being a Bosch ME9.1 ecu its plug into the OBD port read the file , modify and write back – when you know the results will be that good waiting 15 minutes for a full write get the right foot itchy for a test drive – Now we need some dry roads to really give it the beans

Nissan Navara 2.5DCi Remap

Gain 30BHp 60Nm
I know theres a bit of bad press about Nvaras at the moment with some breaking their back but they are loved by tradespeople and if you have room to park the 5.3m vehicle and can do a 6 point turn tey might be right up your street. They are a tad underpowered as standard but now we can remap these via the OBD port we can sort that little problem out in an hour

Subaru Impreza WRX Remap

Gain 30 Bhp peak 55NM ( 45bhp 80nm in rev range)
Always amazes me how Scoobies wear their miles well – 100 k up on this wrx yet the seats barely look sat in – We dont go for a big headline bhp number on these wrx s but try and widen the power band giving more usable power over a wider rev range – makes them a lot more drivable – No exception here – great results

Mercedes ML63 AMG Remap

The 5.5 litre V8 Twin turbo AMG Mercedes tunes extremely well – the ecu come out easy but we have to flip the board to access the boot pin – with 5 pieces of heat paste sticking the ecu down this is not something we can do “on the road” so we took the ecu away to do this in a more controlled environment – Back to the car this evening to reinstall and test the extra power

BMW 730D Remap

This early e65 730D is fitted with a Bosch edc16 ecu which is simple and fast to remap via the OBD plug – gains are very impressive from the straight 6 3 litre diesel and while performance is now a lot better MPG will improve too

Mercedes ML 270 CDI Remap

The second car up today and the second ML of eh week – although this one has half the engine capacity and half the number of turbos the gains are still very impressive – The 270CDi was never a fast vehicle in fact it was quite ponderous – Its now got a new lease of life with a heap of extra torque. again a simple OBD Remap and again a bosch edc16 ecu

Audi A3 2.0 tdI Remap

Third in today was this 2005 Audi A3 4 door and the 2.0 litre VAG diesel engine that we have tuned thousands of. No exception on how well the car goes after being mapped. Again an simple OBD remap and again a bosch edc16 Ecu – If I had a pound for every edc16 Bosch sold I would be a very rich man

Mercedes Sprinter 311 Remap

4th vehicle of the day and every one has been a Bosch EDC16 ecu – yet all different vehicles – This was the LWB Mercdes Sprinter with a 311 powerplant which is 109BHp in stock form. That is Ok in the van when its empty but this is a motorhome and comes with lots of goodies and extra side windows it all adds to the weight. The van was pretty pedestrian before but now it has improved dramatically and will be used for enjoyable weekends away motorcrossing

Toyota HI-Lux 3.0 Invincible Remap

This 2014 Hi-Lux isnt exactly overpowered at 170BHp from a 3 litre engine but we can do something about that. Very much like teh late VAG vehicles this can be done via the OBD port but only if we have matching software on our database – Thankfully we did on this occasion and the whoel process takes just an hour. The vehicle is now faster smoother and will return more mpg – win win win

Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0 Remap

Thsi is a Blend level remap to gain extra power and improve fuel economy – The ecu ( Bosch EDC17C79) needs to be removed and tuned on the bench which thanks to Jeeps use of a bolt under the ecu took a few minutes longer than expected having to remove teh expansion tank but no real problems – The ecu was out read tuned and back in teh car for a test drive in under 2 hours – Nice gains in power and realistically 7-10% more mpg

Mercedes e220cdi Remap

Always nice gains from the Delphi ECU’d Mercedes 2148cc engine
And despite being a 2013 model it can be tuned simply via the OBD port – so in an hour the car is now faster and more responsive

VW Golf Mk7 GTi Remap

Thsi MK7 golf is only a couple of weeks old and a coupleof thousand miles on the clock but we can still tune via the OBD port by matching the file with one on our database – The Simos18 ecu is a slow write taking about 40 minutes to complete but teh car is now a lot quicker and smoother to drive

Saab 9-3 1.9 TiD Remap

One of the greatest shames in the motoring world in my eyes was the demise of Saab – They made a lovely car – solid, quirky yet reliable – I think the problem was they had to make this decent car from a Vauxhall and it was costing them too much to correct the Vauhall issues before they even started on their own design etc
Still they make a good value second hand vehicle now and tuning the diesel engine makes a huge difference

Chrysler 300C 3,0Crd Remap

Big car with Big personality – Yes we would all like the Hemi version but that really just isnt practicle so teh Mercedes diesel engine will have to be the choice – 215Bhp in Standard form is ok but 260 BHp mapped and torque up from 550Nm to 685 just makes it so much better

Suzuki Swift 1.3 DDiS Remap

I have long been a fan of the Suzuki Swift – better than average for a small economical runaround and theres a much better chance of finding a well looked after used version than say a fiesta. This was exactly that a 10 year old car but still in great condition sensible miles and that ultra economical Fiat 1.3 litre engine – The only problem being 70 BHp is not going to entertain anyone – 30 minutes later its now getting close to 100 BHp now that you can live with and potential 65mpg keeps the accountants happy too

BMW E60 530D Remap
