VW Polo 1.0 TSi Remap

ECU Remapped 04/09/2017
Gain 15Bhp 35Nm
Nice little Polo and this is what we are all being led towards – tiny turbocharged engines – Unfortunately this one feels very laggy to drive – The MEV17.2.5 ecu can be tuned via the OBD plus so just an hour to improve performance and throttle response making the on road feeling a lot better

Audi A4 2.0 Tdi 170Ps Remap

ECU Remapped 04/09/2017
Gain 35Bhp 70Nm
The B7 Audi A4 with the 2.0 Tdi 170Ps engine esus a Siemens ECU rather than the more common Bosch units in the 140Ps versions, we can still tune these via the obd port and with very good gains

ECU Remapped and EGR Delete 19/09/2017
Gain 38Bhp 85Nm
Back from a week climbing mountains and back to one of our favorite vehicles to remap the 2.7 litre Range Rovers. The Siemens SID204 ecu reads and writes quickly via the OBD socket and we know we can rid the car of its EGR faults within the map negating the expensive and time consuming replacement.

ECU Remapped 20/09/2017
Gain 55Bhp 130Nm
Gareth has had a long list of cars remapped by flashremapping – 2 x 1.6 Thp DS3s, A VW Bore TDi , 2.0d Mondeo, 1.9 CDTi Vivaro, an e90 330d and a 2.2TDCi Mondeo. His latest car is a 2010 335D and what a beauty only 33k miles very nice and mapping gains huge power – Only problem is I think he may keep this one a bit longer so we wont see him for a chat for a while

ECU Remapped 21/09/2017
Gain 35Bhp 70Nm
Really good gains from the Siemens PPD1.X ECU in teh Seat Leon and other VAG group vehicles – really nice to drive with better throttle response and more power throughout the rev range

VW Golf MK7 GTD Remap

VW Golf MK7 GTD Remap

ECU Remapped 25/09/2017
Gain 37Bhp 75Nm
I read an article in teh Sun last week about now we are the Devil incarnate if we buy a new diesel vehicle there are some cars that will become really sought after – A Golf GTD must be in that category – 181Bhp in stock form is a nippy hatchback with oodles of torque and mpg that can see the right side of 50mpg if driven sensibly – these cars will hold their money pretty much whatever the government try and do to persuade us into petrol cars or electric hybrids – Mapping just makes good even better up to nearly 220bhp and more torque and improved mpg too

Range Rover Sport TDV8 Remap

Range Rover Sport TDV8 Remap

ECU Remapped 26/09/2017
Gain 68Bhp 160Nm
A 57 reg Range Rover TDV8 with only 55K on teh clock – try and find one with low miles like that and if you can buy it – the tdv8 is in a different league to the TDV6 already but mapping iot makes another massive leap forward in performance and improves economy too in normal driving conditions

Subaru Impreza WRX Remap

Subaru Impreza WRX Remap

ECU Remapped 26/09/2017
Gain 30Bhp peak 45Bhp in rev range 55nm peak , 80 in rev range
The hatchback WRX is a bit more subtle than its predecessor but still packs a decent punch – this one has had some nice mods and now has more go to add to the show

Mercedse w207 350cdi Remap

Mercedes w207 E350CDi Remap

ECU Remapped 27/09/2017
Gain 30Bhp 80Nm
This was the rarer 265Bhp e350 cdi and in coupe form which is undoubtedly a very pretty car and belies its 5 year old status – The edc17cp46 needs tuning on the bench but quite simple connection – two boot pins on the board and usual connections on the plug – The drive is much nicer – better throttle response and smoother power delivery

LTI TX4 Remap

ECU Remapped 28/09/2017
Gain 30BHP 65Nm
Taxi for FlashRemapping – yep the iconic London Black Cab as recognisable worldwide as a Routemaster Bus in for a little tuning. The 2.5 litre turbo diesel engine makes a whopping 100Bhp in stock form – mated to an automatic gearbox it couldnt pull the skin off a rice pudding – must be infuriating to drive – thankfully the Bosch EDC16 ecu gives us plenty of scope for improvement both in performance and economy
I get the feeling we might be seeing lots more of these soon as Brian was very happy with the results and took plenty of cards to pass around the ranks

Aston Martin V8 Vantage Remap

 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Remap

ECU Remapped 28/09/217
Gain 25Bhp 40Nm
Graet to see John-Paul at Auto Curators Today to remap his simply stunning V8 vantage- Simple to remap via the OBD port as surprisingly it shares its ECU with the more common Ford Fiesta. These are one of my favorite cars ever the more compact lines really do look good and as you would expect from a professional paint detailing and protection specialist the bodywork – paintwork is mirror perfect , in fact even his 10 year old caddy van is stunning – The Aston now has the throttle response and performance it deserves

Vauxhall Vivaro CDTi Remap

Vauxhall Vivaro 2.0 CDTi Remap

ECU Remapped 30/09/2017
Gain 38Bhp 75Nm
This 2013 Vivaro can be tuned OBD but as always best practice to copy injector codes before tuning – all done in 45 minutes the van in now much better to drive with more smoother power and on average we see 3-4 mpg improvements
That has to be worth doing

VW Polo 1.8T Remap

VW Polo 1.8T Remap

ECU Remapped 30/09/2017
Gain 40Bhp 80Nm
Some cars are just fun and this is funner than most a 2007 Polo with VWs well used 1.8T engine – 150Bhp stock it has had a few tasteful mods and decatted and has a forge recirc valve n249 delete. mapping the me7 ecu is simple and the car is now properly quick hatchback pulling strongly throughout the rev range. The test drive did show up its weakness though and it needs some work on the brakes as they fade far too quickly
Remember going fast is only fun if you can stop properly
