ECUs Remapped 03/05/2017
Gain 16Bhp 25Nm
Two dinky little ecus on these 360 Ferraris , Bosch ME7.3 to be precise. After removing the ecus and clearly marking them as to whether they are master( controls immobilizer ) or slave and which side they came from its then down to connecting on the bench. The ecus do not need to be opened just connecting to the plugs but we have to identify the exact ecu first as they all look the same but are stamped with different numbers – these had 353 and 354 stamped on each ecu and from this we know that connection is to 1 plug only – read and write times are then pretty fast and the mapping data we change are the same on both ecus. Then reinstall have a brief panic until we find the kill switch located by the handbrake and then enjoy the increased power and improved throttle response – These cars are now 15 years old but still turn a head and being a later model with exhaust more like the Challenge Stradale make a noise which makes you wish they had made the channel tunnel a road rather than a rail link

Nemo Remap

Citroen Nemo 1.3 Remap

ECU Remapped 03/05/2017
Gain 18Bhp 28Nm
Two more Nemo vans mapped this afternoon as we continue to save money on fuel for this fleet. We have also installed 110km/hr speed limiters on these vans which while I am sure is not popular with the drivers will also save fuel – after about 60 mph the fuel economy of a vehicle suffers massively as the van goes faster thus limiting to roughly 70mph will save fuel. This may also save drivers what has become a huge fine now for speeding 150% of your weekly wage – now that would hurt

BMW X6 35XD Remap

BMW X6 X Drive 35D Remap

ECU Remapped 04/05/2017
Gain 55Bhp 120Nm
This was a 2010 BMW X6 so rule of thumb would say its a bench tune but knowing the 35d is 282 Bhp we know it still uses the older EDC16 ECU that can be tuned via the OBD port – that makes the process quicker and cheaper – Just over an hour and the X6 is a different beast and its one happy customer

Audi A5 2.0 tdI Remap

Audi A5 2.0 tdi Cabriolet Remap

ECU Remapped 04/05/2017
Gain 40Bhp 80Nm
If Larry Greyson did remapping he would have been in his element – what a grey day – first the X6 now this A5 in grey – but if grey is a little dull the performance is now sparkling – 60 minutes to tune this Audi with Bosch EDC17C46 ecu using a software i/d and file matching to a known original and then writing all via the OBD port

BMW 520D F10 Remap

ECU Remapped 05/05/2017
Gain 37Bhp 75Nm
To finish off the week a bench tune on this BMW f10 520d. The Bosch EDC17C50 ecu sits in a watertight box in the engine bay and is pretty simple to remove open and connect to so in about 2 hours the BMW gets noticably more power better throttle response and more mpg

Jaguar XFR Remap

Jaguar XFR 5.0 Supercharged Remap

ECU Remapped 08/05/2017
Gain 50Bhp 80Nm
The 5.0 Supercharged Jags are awesome 500 Bhp is stock form and if that isnt enough for you we can give it another 50 Bhp from a remap alone ( obviously supercharger pulley upgrades are also available ) The car is sharper and more responsive to drive.

VW Touareg 2.5 TDi Remap

VW Touareg 2.5 TDi Remap

ECU Remapped 09/05/2017
Gain 38Bhp 85Nm
The 2.5 Litre Touareg only came with 172 Bhp now that just aint good enough – the later 3.0 one was 225 stock so you would think this is not the one to have – but hold on its only done 64k miles – try finding another like that – and you know we can do something about the power – now up to 210 bhp and a chunk more torque you can live with that now

Abarth Punto Evo Essesse Remap

Abarth Punto Evo Essesse Remap

ECU Remapped 10/05/2017
Gain 30Bhp in rev range 15Bhp Peak
I sound like the news reporters from the fast show trying to pronounce the name of this fast Fiat or Abarth as they prefer to be called – They come with 180PS 177Bhp in stock form from its 1.4 litre twin air turbo charged engine so top end wont gain massively but areas in teh rev range will gain 30Bhp and its also a lot smoother. Worth putting up with the ridiculous write process to this Marelli 8gmf ecu

BMW 316tI Compact Remap

BMW 316tI Compact Remap

ECU Remapped 10/05/2017
Gain 12Bhp 15Nm
This low mile compact was in superb condition, a credit to Tony its owner – but the lack of throttle response below 2100 rpm is its downfall – as flat as most of my jokes – while 12Bhp peak power gains are good its not that important the remap helps in the low down flat area that would make this vehicle worth remapping for that alone

Mercedes E220 CDI Remap

Mercedes E220CDi Remap

ECU Remapped 11/05/2017
Gain 38Bhp 75Nm
This is the 4th car we have remapped for Dee – he does love a Mercedes Diesel and after having a Pug 407 Coupe last time he is happy to be behind the three pointed star again – We were down to him the next day after the call and an hour after arriving he is smiling again – more smoother power and better fuel economy too.

bmw 320d Coupe Remap

BMW E92 320D Remap

ECU Remapped 11/05/2017
Gain 40Bhp 80Nm
I must admit to having a little surprise with this car – Its a 62reg so I was expecting a Bosch edc17c41 but on opening the ecu box on the nearside scuttle the ecu only had two plugs rather than the 5 on the c41. checking the 0281 number on the ecu revealed its true identity and we then know its a EDC17C50. Gpt connections as well as the normal comms lines and we have it remapped and back on the road in a couple of hours and a very happy squaddie

BMW F12 640D Remap

BMW F12 640D Remap

ECU Remapped 13/05/2017
Gain 60Bhp 120Nm
The 308 Bhp 3 litre twin power turbo diesel engine is no slouch before remapping but once tuning the throttle response is lightening – such a quick diesel car – the remapping process is not the easiest with a Bosch EDC17CP45 ECU you can either flip the board in teh ecu with great risk or as we do drill a tiny hole and access the boot pin that way – obviously sealing it up afterwards. No wonder many tuners refuse to remap this ecu type

Saab 9-3 1.9TiD Remap

Saab 9-3 1.9 TiD Remap

ECU Remapped 19/05/2017
Gain 38Bhp 75Nm
Returning customer Andrew has parted with his DS3 which we remapped when brand new 6 years ago has a new car a 2010 Saab convertible and its a beauty just 27k miles on it. Knowing our quality he asked it we would be OK to come to him in Royal Wooten Basset to remap it – No problem – its now much more responsive and feels more agile with improved mpg too

BMW E46 330cI Remap

BMW E46 330Ci Remap

ECU Remapped 19/05/2017
Gain 18Bhp 28Nm
Second customer of the day and again a returning customer who has had a 2.8 z3 and an Audi TT Remapped previously – Power wise not startling gains but throttle response and drivability improved with a remap on the MS43 ECU

Mercedes e320cdI Remap

Mercedes e320 CDi Remap

ECU Remapped 20/05/2017
Gain 38Bhp 85Nm
Third returning customer in 2 days – Rudie had a discovery but no loves the more relaxed drive of the quality Mercedes and with 221 Bhp in stock form its no slouch – but he knows remapping can make a huge difference so returned to his favorite remapping company for the tune – 45 minutes later he is grinning with a much sharper car and with improved economy too

BMW E39 530D Remap

BMW E39 530D Remap

ECU Remapped 23/05/2017
Gain 42Bhp 90Nm
Back in 2001 if you had an e39 530d m sport with all its gizmos you were king of the castle 190of munichs finest Bhps which was huge then for a diesel – Now you get that from a 2 litre diesel. Time for some remapping action – simple and fast on teh DDE4 edc15ecu and resuilts are pretty startling – much stronger than it used to be

Vauxhall Zafira 1.9 CDTi 120Bhp Remap

Vauxhall Zafira 1.9 CDTi 120Ps Remap

ECU Remapped 23/05/2017
Gain 38Bhp 75Nm
When anyone mentions the 1.9 CDTi engine you immediately think its 150Bhp but there was also a lesser version with 120Bhp now that couldnt pull the skin off a rice pudding. Fitted with an edc16c9 ecu the mapping is simple via the OBD port and in well under an hour its now better than a stock 150Bhp version

Porsche 996 3.4 Remap

Porsche 911 996 3.4 remap

ECU Remapped 30/05/2017
Gain 21Bhp 35Nm
Nice gains from the 296 Bhp Porsche. It is fitted with the early ME5.2.2 ecu which requires a special cable to map unlike the later ME7.2 version – read and write times are super quick – and we have added a bit of overrun crackle too. We will post a video in the next few days but take it from me the noise from the decat exhaust was very nice its now tunnel addictive
