ECU Remapping, Chipping and Chip Tuning
FlashRemapping, September 2016
VW Passat 2.0 TDi Remap
ECU Remapped 01/09/2016
Gain 40 BHp 80Nm
A 2013 Passat which we can tune OBD as long as we have the software on our database – In this case we did matching the file for the Bosch EDC17CP46 ecu meant tuning was completed in an hour giving a boost in performance and fuel economy
Land Rover Defender TD5 Remap
ECU Remapped 01/09/2016
Gian 22BHp 40Nm
This is our Blue Optimise fuel economy remap level for this vehicle – It was a strange Situation in that David had just bought the car but his insurance company had refused him insurance as he knew it had been remapped previously and as he couldnt tell them the level of tune. He had no reciept but had been told it was previously remapped by Scorpion – who went bust in 2009 – We read the ecu that thankfully had not been protected and the map was OK, extremely mild in our eyes but nothing wrong. We installed our own software though and the reciept now means he can be insured and legal
Porsche Cayman S 3.4 Remap
ECU Remapped 03/09/2016
Gain 25BHp 32Nm
Another car which we need a library file for as you cannot read the ecu via the OBD port – again we had an exact software match on our database so in 45 minutes we had i/d for the car – modified the file including raising the rev limiter and written the modifies software – the car is now much better to drive – more responsive and gains right through the rev range
Citroen DS3 1.6 hdI 90 Remap
ECU Remapped 05/09/2016
Gain 30Bhp 60NM
The 90Bhp version of the Citroen DS3 come with a Bosch edc17cp10 ECU that is best tuned on the bench but its pretty straightforward and in under an hour and a half the car is now faster smoother and more economical as you can tell by the cheesy grinned passenger post test drive
Porsche Cayenne 4.5 Turbo S Remap
ECU Remapped 06/09/2016
Sean from R+R performance is a good friend of FlashRemapping and just bought this 520BHp monster but it drove horribly accelerator far far too responsive and kickdown clunked the gearbox in a way that would scare you – We read the software and the map on it was ridiculously aggressive on boost and torque too low down – now we suspect this may have caused gearbox problems so for a start we have remapped it back to stock settings and suggested a gearbox oil and filter change which will be carried out soon – The car now drives 100pct better with stock software and no gearbox issues at present – we will back to install a proper remap in a few weeks
VW Golf 2.0 Tdi Remap
ECU Remapped 07/09/2016
Gain 40BHp 80Nm
This car has been owned from new by its owner – thats 12 years and it has covered a mere 62,000 miles – try and find one with that mileage for sale – the choice was buy a new car or give the reliable Golf a new lease of life – an hour on the laptop and the VW is now much faster smoother and more economical
Ford Fiesta 1.4 TDCi Remap
ECU Remapped 08/09/2016
Gain 18BHp 39Nm
Ok that doesnt sound like a big gain but when you only start with 68Bhp and the car is small and light the difference is chalk and cheese – nice and spritely drive now compared to stock
Ford Galaxy 2.8 Remap
ECU Remapped 21/09/2016
Gain 18Bhp 28Nm
When was the last time you saw one of these ? a 2.8 litre VR6 engine from VW in a Ford Galaxy with an Auto box – Not many left now but these engines are good and more CCs = less strain so with regular servicing will go on and on – Remapping has given it a decent bit more power and a crisper gearchange from the auto
Land Rover Discovery 3 2.7 Remap
ECU remapped 22/09/2016
Gain 38Bhp 85Nm
The 2.7 litre version of the Discovery 3 was a massive improvement over the Old TD5 but is still somewhat under powered – This beauty had only 54k miles and was the HSE model with all the bells and whistles so it would be rude not to give it the remap that gives it the GO to match the SHOW
Mercedes Sprinter 313 Remap
ECU Remapped 22/09/2016
Gain 38bhp 75Nm
2011 Sprinter with a Delphi ecu remappable via the OBD port – The 2148cc Mercedes diesel engine is used in so many vehicles and is a very solid unit – here it gains good power and improved fuel economy too
Vauxhall Vivaro 2.0 CTDI 115 Sportive Remap
ECU Remapped 24/09/2016
Gain 38Bhp 75Nm
The second Vivaro today – this time a 2013 version with a Bosch edc17cp42 Ecu but still tunable via the OBD Socket – after reading the ecu we always take a copy of the injector codes as they can be lost when programming the modified file – if that happens the vehicle will be limited to 2000Rpm so always better safe than sorry
It only an extra 30 seconds work anyways
This LWB van ( no its not from a funeral director) is faster smoother and will see an extra 2-5mpg
Vauxhall Vivaro 1.9 cdti 100 Remap
ECU Remapped 24/0/2016
Gain 35BHp 70Nm
This 2003 Vivaro was a bit under powered despite being the higher powered of the two 1.9 engine versions, they come in 80 and 100 BHp stock powers – no problem to us though the edc15 ecu is simple and quick to tune and in under an hour its now faster smoother and more economical
Jaguar x-Type 2.2d Remap
ECU Remapped 26/09/2016
Gain 30Bhp 60Nm
This was a late x-type, a 59 Reg to be precise which we have previously had problems remapping via the OBD port as despite having the same ecu ( Delphi MPC555 ) as earlier models just havent been able to communicate – this one however offered no resistance to tuning except a 35 minute read – and a 15 minute write – its a dam sight quicker now and more economical too
Honda CR-V 2.2 I-CDTI Re-remap
ECU RE-REmapped 24/09/2016
Gain 38Bhp 85Nm
Eagled eyed followers will notice we remapped this vehicle on the 12th March – but even though it was a 2006 model it has just had a recall from Honda – new EGR Valve and injectors on a 10 year old vehicle with over 100k miles under recall – now that is some service from the Honda boys ( anything to do with emission problems ?). The customer had noticed a lack of power since it had been in so we offered to take a look – A complete software update – comparing this read to the ori only a 63% match so thats a complete software update – no dramas though we remapped the new software in double quick time and the power was restored to previous remapped power
Aston Martin V12 Vantage Remap
ECU Remapped 30/09/2016
Gain 20Bhp 30Nm
If you like your cars with style this has it with some to spare – The Baby sized Aston is the smallest and in my mind prettiest of the bunch – They come with 4.7 litre v8s and a mighty 6.0 litre v12 engine – this is the latter wit 510Bhp in standard form – Remapping adds 20 BHp and improved throttle response making it nicer and more eager on the road
