ECU Remapped 01/07/2014
Gain 37BHp 70Nm
Bosch edc17c41DDE8 what a lovely ecu to tune – removing the ecu from the car no problem – opening the case no problem but then knowing the boot pin is on the reverse of the board – the pcb board is pretty brittle and has two strips of glue holding it to the ecu base on the flip side – still its nothing we haven’t seen before – slow and steady wins the day and after 2 hours the car is tuned and ready for a test drive – just the ticket faster more responsive with loads of low down torque – add to that improved fuel economy and you are ringing the bell with a FlashRemapping remap

ECU Remapped 03/07/2014

Gain 30Bhp 60Nm

Great Results from the little Citroen making this a very quick and economical little hatchback – I have a soft spot for these cars since buying one for my daughter as her first car – that one unfortunately had the sensodrive gearbox which is the worst gearbox I have ever seen in a car – but it was a reliable and fun vehicle

ECU Remapped 05/07/2014
Gain 38BHp 75Nm
It was a big bugger and as you can imagine 130Bhp and this sort of aerodynamics doesn’t work well – so in this case to improve economy the most power to cut through the air gives the best results – an extra 38Bhp 75Nm will certainly help in drivability and economy
Now go get Jessie we need to cook

ECU Remapped 07/07/2014

Gain 15Bhp 22Nm

The Mercedes uses a supercharger which is less popular than a turbocharger to compress air into the combustion chambers – generally they do not lead to fuel efficiency but they do not suffer from any lag like a turbo and they run all the time from a belt rather than exhaust gasses – mapping them is much like remapping a normally aspirated engine but as you can see nice gains are available

Audi Q7 3.0 TDi Remap

Audi Q7 3.0 TDi Remap

ECU Remapped 07/07/2014

Gain 50Bhp 110Nm

The Big Audi gets big gains 50Bhp is a massive increase and the Torque that is needed to get the huge weight accelerating down the road – Audi do use a 4.2 litre TDi engine in the Q7 as well but surprisingly not the 5.0 V10 TDi engine that is used in the VW Touareg – now that would be a beast

ECU Remapped 09/07/2014
Gain 42Bhp 90Nm
After tuning half a dozen Sprinters today for a company who are looking to save fuel with the “Blue Optimize” tuning it was back to one of our favorite customers – this is vehicle number 7 we have tuned for him and as he said one of the best results – The big Bimmer needs the extra power and is now pretty lively
Better fuel economy too

VW Transporter T5.1 2.0 TDi 140 Remap

ECU Remapped 11/07/2014
Gain 40Bhp 80Nm
3 days old so I was unsure if we could remap this T5 as the 2014 software can not be tuned yet – but this one had the older software
so no problems edc17cp20 witha 1796 processor and TProt 10 software is fine – 2 hours later and the Transporter is faster with better throttle response and more mpg

Ford Transit Custom 2.2 TDCI 125 Remap

Ford Transit Custom 2.2 TDCI 125 Remap

ECU Remapped 13/07/2014

Gain 30BHp 60Nm

The Transit custom is a much prettier van than the standard Transit but with the same engines and ecus – although in a different position in the engine bay which does make it rather awkward to remove – not a problem when you have done a few though and two and a half hours later this 125Bhp model matches the 155BHp offered by Ford but with better fuel economy and costing less than teh Ford upgrade

BMW 123D Remap

BMW 123D Remap

ECU Remapped 14/07/2014
Gain 42Bhp 85Nm
2008 123d should be a OBD remap but with teh Bosch edc17cp06/06 ecu there is always a chance that the anti-tune software has been installed with a main dealer update – fortunately not in this case as the car didn’t arrive to us till 7pm – in 45 minutes the car was tuned and test driven – much sharper throttle response with the extra power makes an all round nicer drive

Mercedes ML 63 AMG 5.5 Litre BiTurbo Remap

Mercedes ML 63 AMG 5.5 Litre BiTurbo Remap

ECU Remapped 17/07/2014
Gain 70Bhp 100Nm
525Bhp in stock form is no slouch but theres so much more to come – I was quite surprised how quiet this ML is on tickover – its only when you open the taps the Roar just gets better and better – tempting you to push further on the gas pedal – we have also removed the speed limiter for those occasions when it is allowable to open the taps fully

Toyota Hi Lux 3.0 D4-D Tuning

Toyota Hi Lux 3.0 D4-D Tuning

FR Tuning Module fitted 17/07/2014
Gain 33Bhp 91Nm
The ECU in this Toyota is not tunable but the FR Tuning module gives us the answer – The FR Tuning module is a multi channel tuning module with 2-4 sensor signals interrupted and specifically mapped – this one had two sensors – the common rail sensor and boost pressure sensor – 10 minutes to fit and nice gains in BHp, Torque and MPG – very nice too

Renault Traffic 1.9 DCi Remap

Renault Traffic 1.9 DCi Remap

ECU Remapped 21/07/2014
Gain 38Bhp 75Nm
Renault Traffic, Vauxhall Vivaro or Nissan Primastar – all the same van basically and we offer great tuning for these – even this performance level tune will improve fuel economy dramatically 10% easily achieved and with some careful driving we have seen results around the 20% mark. Now take into account we have given the van 38% extra power as well that really is some achievement. No wonder so many fleet operators turn to us for tuning to save their companies money

ECU Remapped 21/07/2014
Gain 40BHp 80Nm
The Later Transporters are called GPs or T5.1 and come with the 2.0 Ti engine opposed to the 1.9 or 2.5 litre tdi versions – The lights are updated as is teh dash and steering wheel – They are a very popular van coming in many power variants this 84BHp version is the lowest powered and cheapest they also come with 102 BHp 114BHp Bluemotion, 140Bhp and a twin turbo 180Bhp model. So which one do you go for – well 84Bhp couldn’t pull the skin off a custard so is that a non starter – not at all – go for this one and call in FlashRemapping to work its magic – 2 hours later having bench tuned the ECU Its now 124BHp and plenty of torque which will do fine – That’s nearly a 50% power gain

Ford Focus 2.0 TDCi 136Remap

Ford Focus 2.0 TDCi 136Remap

ECU Remapped 21/07/2014
Gain 30BHp 60Nm
Nice gains from the Ford make a good difference to response and performance from the 2.0 litre diesel engine
Its a simple OBD remap on these Fords so the whole job takes less than an hour

VW Passat 2.5 TDi 150Bhp Remap

VW Passat 2.5 TDi 150Bhp Remap

ECU Remapped 22/07/2014
Gain 40BHp 85Nm
The 2.5 Litre tdi engine has always felt a bit lazy – I remember having one in an A4 back in 2002 and it never felt spritely – A remap on these will definitely improve the torque and make the car feel lighter to drive – they were in fact a very heavy car – hence why they last so well

Renault Traffic 1.9 DCi 100 Remap

Renault Traffic 1.9 DCi 100 Remap

ECU Remapped 23/07/2014
Gain 38BHp 75Nm
100Bhp is pretty soft in a van ( better than the other 1.9 version with only 80 though) but we can do a lot about that, Quite a simple job for us with an EDC15 ecu that reads down the plug in 2 minutes and writes in the same time so only 35-40 minutes and the job is done – ready for a few more years toil

Blue optimize remapping
Gain 15-20% fuel economy
Nearly all of the Homeserve vans have been done now but theres a few left that are spread around that we are doing on our travels – This one was down near Brighton so nipped in to give it the tweek –
Many companies are choosing FlashRemapping software to save on fuel in their vehicles – from the biggest fleet in Europe to the sole trader it makes total sense

Range Rover L405 4.4 TDV8 Remap

Range Rover L405 4.4 TDV8 Remap

ECU Remapped 23/07/2014
Gain 50BHp 110Nm
The latest and probably the best ever looking Range Rover – This full size version doesn’t look at all boxy anymore and I think is nicer than the Sport version
The 4.4 TDV8 is a fantastic engine to start with but once remapped is amazing – unless you own a petrol station and want the 5.0 supercharged this is the one to go for

Mercedes w204 C200 CDi Remap

Mercedes w204 C200 CDi Remap

ECU Remapped 24/07/2014
Gain 38BHp 75Nm
The 200 cdi is the same 2148cc diesel engine as used by Mercedes for many years in many different guises this was only 136BHp in stock form but went surprisingly well, probably helped by being a manual rather than the power sapping auto box – its much much better now though with aprox 172BHp it really goes well once the turbo spools at 200ish rpm – It always had the show – now it has the go

BMW 318i E90 Remap

BMW 318i E90 Remap

ECU Remapped 25/07/2014
Gain 17Bhp 24Nm
The gains on the 4 cylinder Normally Aspirated BMWs are very good for the type of engine but what the peak power figures don’t tell you is how it helps the very flat area low down in the rev range – between 1700 and 2100 rpm these engines are very flat – I have even had people complaining that they are very easy to stall – the remap improves this area massively and the car feels a lot nimbler

With 182 thousand miles its no surprise a filter in the exhaust that traps soot from the exhaust had clogged, physical removal is quite straightforward on the PSA 1.6 HDi engine as is the remapping to delete dpf strings from the ecu data
All the dashboard lights are now out and car drives without going into limp mode

Porsche Boxster 987 2.7 Remap

ECU Remapped 29/07/2014
Gain 19Bhp 31Nm
245Bhp in stock form is no slouch but the remap does add that extra sparkle with improved throttle response and the car is happier to be at lower revs when that is needed

VW Golf 2.0 Tdi Remap

VW Golf 2.0 Tdi Remap

ECU Remapped 29/07/2014
Gain 40Bhp 80Nm
Superb gains from the MK5 Golf makes a nippy 2.0 diesel into a hot hatch with diesel economy – better throttle response, masses of extra torque and unless driven very hard will improve economy – generally by 8-10% even with this performance level tune

BMW E60 520D Remap

BMW E60 520D Remap

ECU Remapped 30/07/2014
Gain 54Bhp 95Nm
The late 2005/2006 BMW 520D had 163 Bhp in stock form and this is the most tunable of the 2 litre diesel versions with a massive 54Bhp gain – certainly makes a huge difference on the road making this a quick yet still economical vehicle

Blue Optimize remap 31/07/2014
Looking to save fuel we have today tuned this Golf for reduced fuel consumption – The Blue optimize software is used by BT Fleet, Crosswater Holdings, Homeserve and many others to reduce fuel consumption by 10-15% across a fleet

Mazda 3 MPS 2.3 DIS-I Remap

Mazda 3 MPS 2.3 DIS-I Remap

ECU Remapped 31/07/2014
Gain 35BHp 70Nm
The Mazda 3 MPS is a bit of a sleeper in that not many know of its potential – with 260BHp in stock form a simple remap gets it close to the 300BHp mark yet quite docile in traffic and a winner of many backroad shootouts

Citroen Relay 2.2 HDi 100 Remap

Citroen Relay 2.2 HDi 100 Remap

ECU Remapped 31/07/2014
Gain 35BHp 70Nm
The big party bus is underpowered with only 100 BHp especially when it has a few bodies on board – a remap is exactly what is required – its big heavy and not at all aerodynamic so a performance level map is what is required to help economy more
