Audi A4 1.8T Remap

ECU Remapped 03/11/2014
Gain 40Bhp 80Nm
With 163Bhp in stock form the 1.8T in this A4 has plenty of scope for tuning – better throttle response and more power throughout the rev range from these cars – and no problems with coil packs / spark plugs which is pretty common when tuning 1.8Ts

ECU Remapped 04/11/2014
Gain 40Bhp 80Nm
The Outlander has had a lot of press recently with its PHEV Plugin Hybrid electric vehicle and so it should – A full charge costing about £1 will get the PHEV up to 35 miles and that makes a lot of sense if this covers your daily commute or you can plug it in at wok for the return journey – what I cannot fathom though is why mate it to a lacklustre 2 litre petrol engine that would struggle to do over 30mpg in the real world – surely a diesel engine would be better – still its also the thick end of 30 grand to buy one of these to save money.
Now the older version ( 2007 onwards ) comes with the 2 litre diesel engine, bosch edc16 u31 ecu and 136Bhp – ring any bells yet – yep its a Volkswagen engine, anyone with a Golf, Passat, Octavia etc will tell you how good this engine is and how tunable it can be, its no different when in the Outlander masses of extra power reduced turbo lag better throttle response and more mpg – with the manual 6 speed box 55mpg is achievable in the real world wherever you go even if there isn’t a plug socket around and a few hours to wait charging
and best of all they start at £5 grand

VW Golf MK7 GTi Performance Pack Remap

VW Golf MK7 GTi Performance Pack Remap

ECU Remapped 05/11/2014
Gain 50Bhp 85Nm
Yes a MK7 Golf GTi Remapped via the OBD port – Thanks to our friends at Sanspeed. And despite it being 5th Nov no pops or bangs but plenty of sparkle from the 2.0 TFSi engine. We can  tune all of these Golf MK7 GTi, GTi Performance pack and even the Golf R via the OBD socket.
They are a good car anyway but now its something really special

Land Rover Defender TD5 Remap

Land Rover Defender TD5 Remap

ECU Remapped 06/11/2014
Gain 35Bhp 70Nm
This Defender is 12 years old yet still looks good and the TD5 engine is a strong one especially when its only covered 70k miles but the 122Bhp engine is about as exciting as a rainy tuesday in Dullsville – fortunately we can do something about that – quick read of the MEMS ecu and a few minutes tinkering with boost, fuelling and some other maps and its now a grazillion times better

BMW E87 118D Remap

BMW E87 118D Remap

ECU Remapped 06/11/2014
Gain 40Bhp 80Nm
just after March 2009 so bench tune on the BMW but nothing too hard the ecu comes out easily and the lid isn’t glued down like most edc17s so 90 minutes and the ecu is back in and the customer has a cheesy grin on his face – more power smoother better throttle response and more mpg into the bargain

Toyota Landcruiser 4.5 D-4D Tuning

Toyota Landcruiser 4.5 D-4D Tuning

FR Tuning Module fitted 14/11/14
Gain 59Bhp 80Nm
Its an awkward fitment on this box as the boost pressure sensor is on the back of the intercooler which has to be removed ( top mount )
and the rail pressure sensor is further buried underneath that – still the crankcase angle sensor is easier to get to – no bolts or parts left over when refitting always a good sign as was the test drive – it already had 282bhp and 650Nm but you need that kind of power to pull the 3 ton monster along – the extra power is very welcome and hopefully will encourage the mpg-o-meter to get onto the right side of 20mpg

Range Rover Vogue L405 SDV8 4.4 Remap

ECU Remapped 18/11/2014
Gain 45bhp 90nm
They are a great vehicle the new L405 Range Rover – A whole heap of money but a great vehicle none-the-less. Here at FlashRemapping we have tuned a lot of these already 3.0 sdv6, 4.4 SDV8 and 5.0 S/C versions – we have it down to a fine art – so who would you trust to tune your Rangie – yep the company who is Insured and comes with a money back guarantee

BMW 650i Remap

BMW 650i Remap

ECU Remapped 19/11/2014
Gain 28Bhp 40Nm
Nope the picture isnt in reverse this is a left hooker – but what do you do when you have owned a car from new but lived stateside and its time to come home – it would be like leaving a member of the family behind – No problem remapping it although we haven’t seen this s/w number before and the speed limiter was in a different place in the map. Unfortunately these MEV ecus do take an hour to read so its a 2 hour process. Its now a nicer car to drive better throttle response more bhp throughout the rev range – lovely – we have to enjoy these big engined cars now before the government price us out of it.

Jeep Grand Cherokee CRD Remap

Jeep Grand Cherokee CRD Remap

ECU Remapped 21/11/2014
Gain 42Bhp 90Nm
This Mercedes engined Jeep was the overland edition which comes with all the toys and was in really nice condition – Its a simple remap with teh edc16 ecu readable in just a couple of minutes via the diagnostic port – bit of time modifying the file and a minute to write back and the Jeep is transformed into a swifter and more torquey 4X4

Fiat 500 0.9 TwinAir Remap

Fiat 500 0.9 TwinAir Remap

ECU Remapped 25/11/2014
Gain 20BHp 30Nm
This my friends is they way them in power want the future to look
Tiny 0.9 litre 3 cylinder turbo charged petrol car with tiny emissions and tiny power – just 85Bhp from this one that couldn’t pull the skin off a rice pudding – but it does make financial sense in its low road tax and plenty of mpg and being a 500 it is one of the slowest depreciating cars on the road – but 85Bhp come on – thankfully we can do something about that – 20bhp and 30Nm isn’t massive but as a percentage and on a small and light car thats a big difference – makes it nearly livable with – look out later this week for a big boys 500 – that laughs in the face of the 0.9 litre twin air

BMW 640D Tuning

BMW 640D Tuning

FR Tuning Module fitted 26/11/2014
Gain 61Bhp 110Nm
The F series BMWs still elude us for tuning the ecu but when our multi channel tuning boxes work this well it really isn’t an issue.
A very simple 3 plug fitment on the 3 litre BMW and wowzer its quick – next step to tune the auto gearbox to help with all that extra torque

Mercedes SL500 w230 Remap

Mercedes SL500 w230 Remap

ECU Remapped 26/11/2014
Gain 25Bhp 40Nm
Its become a great value car the Mercedes sl w230 – surely prices for good ones like this with low miles cant get any cheaper – despite the bodykit and badges its really a 5 litre v8 but thats good its a well tried and tested engine with just over 300 ponies – the remap does add to that but its more about the throttle response and drivability and removing the pesky 155 mph speed limit ( for when the opportunity arises )

Mercedes C220 Cdi Blue Efficiency Remap

Mercedes C220 Cdi Blue Efficiency Remap

ECU Remapped 27/11/2014
Gain 38Bhp 75Nm
The 2148cc Mercedes engine comes in many guises in many different vehicles – this time in an automatic c class with 170Bhp in stock form – remapping it improves throttle response power and drivability and more mpg if driven any where near sensibly

Blue Optimize economy tuning
We are seeing more and more companies with fleets of LCVs opting for the BlueOptimize tuning as fuel savings over the vehicles life are very impressive 10-15%savings can be achieved across a fleet with some individual vehicles seeing as much as 22% savings.
Would you benefit from this kind of fuel savings from your vehicles

Fiat 500 Abarth Euro 6 Remap

ECU Remapped 28/11/2014
Sacra 73 Titanium Exhaust and 200 cpi Race Cat fitted
Carbon Fibre splitter, Front Grills, Rear Diffuser and door apparel fitted
Gain 30Bhp 58Nm
A bit of a big job this one – Fitting the Titanium exhaust ( very light and loud) and the Carbon Fibre parts some fitting nicely and some needing a fair bit of fettling – then the euro 6 version of this car has a newer med17 ecu which required a bench tune – still well worthwhile as the car certainly now has its own identity and goes extremely well
More pictures to follow and maybe a little video of the lovely exhaust note

BMW 635D Remap

BMW 635D Remap

ECU Remapped 29/11/2014
Gain 55Bhp 130Nm
Another of the 3 litre 6 cylinder BMWs – this time in a 6 Series with twin turbos so its no slouch to start with 282BHp (286PS) in stock form but the drive is transformed with the remap
Better throttle response, smoother, more power and better fuel economy – great result

Fiat Bravo 1.4 t-jet 150 remap

Fiat Bravo 1.4 t-jet 150 remap

ECU Remapped 29/11/2014
Gain 30Bhp 60Nm
We seem to have remapped a lot of Fiats recently and many with the 1.4 litre t-jet engine and the gains are pretty good – its a small engine with a small turbo that spools quickly – exactly what you want for running around town
