Ford Transit TDDi Remap

Gain 20BHp 40Nm ( Blue Optimize )
Another removal company looking to improve fuel economy on their fleet – Diesel is a major expense for couriers and haulage companies of all types and while the recent reduction in pump prices have helped massively tuning for improved fuel economy will help even further and the van will be nicer to drive 

Ford Fiesta v1 1.6 TDCi Remap

Gain 30BHp 60Nm 
Dave loves his little fiesta and it is in super condition – He bought it cheap from a family member and just wants to make it the best car it can be – that just has to involve a remap as a 30% hike in bhp just cannot be ignored – its pretty sharp now for a small diesel engine and give fab fuel economy too

VW Crafter 2.0 TDi 109 Remap

We are starting the week off in a big way – well big in that this was a huge LWB Crafter with the newer 2.0 tdi 109 bhp engine and edc17cp54 ecu that can now be tuned via the OBD port except it cant – the software was new to us so back to the older style tri-core tuning on the bench – not the end of the world but a good couple of hours and the van is now much much better – pulls stronger and longer – you could even put cargo in it now and still get down the road 

Jaguar S-Type 2.7D Remap 

ECU Remapped and EGR Delete 11/03/2015
Gain 45Bhp 100NM 
Not a strange problem to have on the 2.7 litre v6 Diesel – EGR valves get clogged up or break – we have seen it on Jaguars, Land Rovers and even the Peugeots with the same engine. The egr valves can be blanked off with plates and we can remap the egr duty cycle from the ecu so no warning lights – It would be downright rude not to remap the ecu while we are about it for big power gains and improved fuel economy too 

Citroen C5 2.2 HDi Remap

The 2.2 Litre C5 170PS has an edc16 ecu that 95% of tuners will say you can tune via the OBD port. But the EDC16CP39 is an oddball and the OBD read does not read the whole file – the only way to tune this ecu properly is a BDM ( Background Debug Module ) read and write – Its easy enough on these cars as the ecu comes out in a couple of minutes and drop a probe on the pads – was completed in an hour and done properly 

VW Golf R32 Remap

If you are going to change the air intake on your car the way to improve performance is make less restriction to the air coming in – This huge filter from Forge does just that on the 3.2 litre VW Golf R32 coupled with a Milltek cat back exhaust helps it exhale better too – All we have to do is tune it to get the best from these modifications and its a delight to drive.
Next stage is exhaust manifold and race cats and possibly some cams and pulleys and we have a 300bhp r32 on our hands 

BMW E60 530D M Sport Remap

2007 BMW E60 diesel with under 100k miles must be a rarity now the threshold that used to be the death nail for cars is now just a notable milestone in a diesel cars life and this one still has a way to go – much more economical than his previous M3 but still a great car its now faster smoother more responsive and with improved mpg – ding dong 

Jaguar XJ 2.7D Remap

Its a big car the Jag and one of the last what I call classic shaped XJs – the later ones are a lot more space aged. They have two problems – 1. they look like a x-type on steroids and 2 the 2.7 litre diesel engine is a bit soft for a car of this size when Jag owners are used to much bigger petrol lumps ( the fuel economy must be a relief on the wallet though )We can help on the second point to the tune of 45BHp and 100 Nm of torque also sharpens up the throttle response and throttle lag – The customer even got the wheels spinning on the test drive under full throttle 

VW Golf 1.8T 150Bhp Remap

This car came to us with its new owner but history unknown – there was some signs of modification before like a baileys dump valve but no proof of previous mapping – easy enough to pull he map of the car and have a look – well it had been mapped before probably by Stevie Wonder – all sorts of odds and sods changed with no real sense to be made of it – less boost higher up the rev range for instance – like it was being mapped around a fault – Well lets mod it properly as see what the faults are then – erm nothing 
better throttle response immediately and just a tad more power low down and oodles up top so it was just a bad map – now this wasn’t dangerous in any way shape or form but just not getting the best out of the Golf

Mercedes Vito 113 Remap

The second Vito we have remapped for this customer – the last one improved the fuel economy by 5mpg so no surprise this one came straight in to be tuned and being a Delphi ecu we can tune via the OBD port in just over an hour – massively improved drive and response – If your plumber is late for your appointment tell him about getting his van remapped he wont be late then 

Audi RS4 Remap

Two ecus in the 4.2 litre RS4 and despite this being a late 2007 vehicle is was a software version not seen before – not on alientech, cmd or dimsport – very strange but the files lined up with previous versions so no problem to write a file and a nice improvement over stock – many of these RS4s dont drive like you would like them to but this one was in fine fettle and low miles too

Dodge Nitro 2.8 CRD Remap

The good value mercedes engined Dodge Nitro has marmite looks but if you are after a chunky 4X4 this might be up your street – But 178Bhp might not be up to todays offerings from the Four wheel drives – fortunately a remap will certainly give it some extra grunt – a better feel and a few extra mpg – looks even better value now 

Jaguar X-Type 2.0D Remap

The Jaguar is a much more glamorous car than its Mundano cousin but still only boasts 130BHp in stock form from the 2.0 litre engine – so something has to be done about that – nice gains and while its still not a sports car its a lot closer 

Ford Transit Connect 1.8 Tdci 90 Remap

As well as being underpowered these Transit Connects have flat spots that make it a bit unpleasant to drive – Even on a 62 plate we can tune these Fords Via the OBD plug so in about an hour we have given it more, smoother power and better mpg thats a good start to the day 

Mercedes Vito 116 Remap

A brand new Mercedes Vito and our second van of the day and second Vito of the week – Not surprising as the gains make them so much nicer to drive – his on is just about 200Bhp now and that is pretty lively for a van. Whats best is that all the 2148cc Mercedes diesels use Delphi ECUs and we can tune these via the OBD port 

Bentley Continental GT Remap

Finished the day with a remap on an old clonker of a car – a Bentley Continental – Its a bit sketchy remapping these via the OBD plug so tuned the two ME7.1.1 ecus on the bench – These ecus are straight out of the VAG parts bin having been used on mk5 golfs 
but being a w12 engine it needs a pair of them to control all the cylinders – 3 hours start to finish and the the Bentley goes like it should do 

Vauxhall Zafira 1.9 CDTi Remap

We have tuned literally hundreds of these Zafira which are a cab drivers favorite and they do tune well – lots of extra power and improved fuel economy too – just what a minicab driver wants – plus the ability to drive at 25mph in 4th gear 

Mercedes Sprinter 311 Remap

After getting the s-type Jag remapped last week and being impressed Gary wanted his Sprinter tuned as well – no problem to tune the EDC16 ecu’d sprinter and they gain massively. Gary is a HGV fitter and carries pretty heavy tools and compressor in his van so economy is best served with a performance remap and thats what we did – 45 minutes start to finish – happy days 

BMW E60 530D Remap

Its such a tunable vehicle and very popular car to tune this is the second E60 530d we have remapped this month alone. Great gains in auto like this one or manual form with more smoother power and better response as well as improved mpg – no wonder its so popular 

Smart 451 Brabus Remap

Gain 14BHp 18Nm 
If you think 14BHp isnt a great gain look at the size and weight of this car. Any gain will be noticeable on the road. Even the Bosch ME7.7.0 ecu is smart car size – bout half the size of a regular bosch ecu and not even glued together meaning we can tune these in under 2 hours with a slow read and write procedure.

Honda Civic 2.2l i-cdti remap

Its been a while since I tuned one of these Hondas and it just reminded me of how well they gop once remapped – They will however find out if you have a weak clutch as that is the lowest common denominator on tuning these vehicles 

Mercedes CLK 280 Remap

A Nasp ( Naturally Aspirated ) Mercedes will never gain performance to the levels of the turbocharger or supercharged variants but still worthwhile gains, better throttle response and even sport mode is better 

Mercedes Sprinter 906 313 Remap

Yep you got it I was in Sandwich this morning then up north of london to remap this Mercedes Sprinter – Pretty much brand new with only 3 thousand miles and once loaded with the owners welding equipments couldn’t pull the skin off a custard 
38 extra ponies will help and improve the fuel economy too 

BMW F10 520D Remap

BMW have put the ecus in a very accessible little box on new F series vehicles which is nice and as long as they are edc17cp50 ecus nice to tune ( we dont like cp45s where you have to flip the board ) so getting the ecu out and opened to read/write is pretty simple – This manual version went much better with a full performance remap 

BMW f10 520D Remap

The second 520d F series today and this was a little different – the Bosch edc17cp50 was slightly different from what we have seen before but read fine – unfortunately no driver for the software and writing was a little odd in that opening up the software with the ecu connected froze the program on my laptop – still after a bit of faffing around all was sorted and the car is now faster more responsive and with improved mpg too 

BMW E60 535D Remap

the second E60 we have remapped for Kenny – His first was a 525d but now he has the big diesel still the same 3 litre straight 6 engine but with an extra turbo which boasts 286 bhp in stock form and now 341 in tuned form – thats a quick car 

Mercedes Sprinter 313 Remap

Even the 2015 Sprinters can be remapped via the OBD plug and we have done plenty – These vans have a tune which adds just a little torque but is specially designed for fuel economy

Mercedes Sprinter 906 Remap

Second sprinter of the day and the same Blue Optimize tune – even though these are Blue efficiency sprinters we can improve fuel economy with our remapping – Certainly seems that Blue is the colour if you want to go green
