ECU Remapping, Chipping and Chip Tuning

Ford Fiesta 1.6 TDCi Remap
ECU Remapped 03/10/2017
Gain 25Bhp 55Nm
Its a strange old world – The 2009 on fiesta 90bhp has a Bosch EDC16 ecu that needs tuning on the bench but that changed when power increased from 90 to 95 Bhp with the edc17c10 ECU and that can be remapped via the OBD plug – makes life a bit easier for us , Same great gains and throttle response also improved drastically
Ford Ranger 3.2 Auto Remap
ECU Remapped 06/10/2017
Gain 35Bhp 75Nm
This was a brand new 67 reg Ranger so we were not 100% sure if if was a sid 209 or sid211 ecu – 208 was rules out immediately as it had adblue – we plugged in our kess to the obd socket to identify as the ecu is so buried under the fuse box and gearbox ecu we couldn’t even see it – confirmed as a sid209 we remove battery, gearbox ecu and fuse box to get the ecu out then tune on the bench – 3 hours or so later the Ranger is now a lot more spritely and will tow Danny’s trailers with a lot less effort
Ford Transit 2.2 TDCi Remap
ECU Remapped 10/10/2017
Gain 50 bhp 85Nm
The Siemens SID208 ecu is easiest to remove from the standard shape transit and opening is pretty easy – they do like a fair current when reading and writing so we use a variable power supply – apart from that just enjoy all that extra power we can release from the van and the extra miles you will get from each tankful
Audi A4 B7 2.0 TFSi Remap
ECU Remapped 10/10/2017
Gain 40Bhp 80Nm
This 2006 B7 Audi was the higher 220ps 217Bhp version but we still get very strong gains from remapping. The ecu is the same Bosch ME9 as in the 200Bhp version so its a simple read and write via the OBD plug and the job is completed and tested within the hour
VW Caddy 1.6 TDi Remap and speed limiter removal
ECU Remapped 11/10/2017
Gain 35Bhp 65Nm
No prizes for guessing who owned this Caddy before its new owner – but they are pretty much always well looked after and sensible on the miles so they do make a tempting buy – A few problems tho the 102 Bhp is underpowered and they are fitted with speed limiters – something we can tackle with ease – The pcr2.1 ecu can now be tuned via the diagnostic port making unlocking the ecu a thing of the past – Its now quicker off the mark better on fuel and according to our new speed limiter only limiter to 190kph – I think we will be safe to say it wont reach that
BMW E60 530D Remap
ECU Remapped 14/10/2017
Gain 42Bhp 90Nm
Great gains in power and throttle response from the Bosch EDC16 ecu’d BMW – The customer had owned the car for many years and fancied giving it a little pep up – I think he was quite surprised how good a little pep up can be
Audi A4 2.0 Tdi Remap
ECU Remapped 18/10/2017
Gain 40Bhp 80Nm
Another EDC17 ecu that was once a bench tune that we can now remap via the obd port. It makes the job quicker and simpler – same great gains in power and throttle response and improved fuel economy
Land Rover Defender 2.2 Remap
ECU Remapped 18/10/2017
Gain 35Bhp 75Nm
Has there ever been a vehicle that has gained such a cult following. Since the defender is no longer being made prices have soared and the once green lane plugger has become a city slicker. We removed the ecu to tune this on the bench but this will probably be the last time we ever need to do this as todays update from one tool manufacturer has brought out an OBD protocol for Defenders – No more climbing over the engine for me
Ford Focus 1.0 ECO-Boost Remap
ECU Remapped 24/10/2017
Gain 34Bhp 50Nm
This is the future till we go electric – small turbocharged engines with reasonable power 125Bhp in this case – but you have to work them hard to get the power and then the fuel economy is a distant shadow of the quoted figures – But remapping really does help – massive improvement in the drivability.
Mitsubishi L200 2.5 DI-D Remap
ECU Remapped 25/10/2017
Gain 35Bhp 70NM
This was teh Barbarian level which gives leather interior and all the goodies – 175bhp in stock form its no slouch but a bit hesitant off the line – the remap takes it to 210Bhp and a quicker pull off – Nice and easy to do now as can be done via the OBD port
Mercedes Sprinter 313 Remap
ECU Remapped 26/10/2017
Gain 38Bhp 75Nm
Little beauty in for a remap today – no not the lada samara – nor Frazer at the wheel but the 2014 Sprinter car transporter – Basically a 313 Sprinter with a flat body the stock 128Bhp is ok when not laden but add a car onto the trailer and suddenly the performance is lost – The remap really helps the truck and will improve fuel economy too
Audi A3 1.9Tdi Remap
ECU Remapped 28/10/2017
Gain 38Bhp 75Nm
a 58 reg Audi but still the old 1.9Tdi engine with the old edc16 ecu – Always happy to see our friends at E-Works and get this cute little rag top running at its best – certainly a big difference on the test drive
BMW F20 118D Remap
ECU Remapped 29/10/2017
Gain 40Bhp 80Nm
Early start although later due to the extra hour in bed last night but nothing hard about tuning a Bosch EDC17C50 in a 1 series BMW – Gains are fantastic taking it just over the power of a 120d – much better on acceleration
VW Transporter T5 1.9 TDI 84PS Remap
ECU Remapped 31/10/2017
Gain 56Bhp 130Nm
The 84 and 102 PS Transporters are identical so we can remap to 102 spec and then a map on that making a huge gain – Andy had a mahoosive smile when he came back from his test drive – He had that age old conundrum 2008 52k transporter owned from new – keep and remap or buy new – In our eyes he made the right choice
