ECU Remapping, Chipping and Chip Tuning
FlashRemapping, April 2017
Mercedes E350 CDi Remap
ECU remapped 01/04/2017
Gain 38BHp 85Nm
First up today was a lovely white E350 Cdi Cabriolet – After removing teh ecu from the front wheelarch we can tune teh Bosch EDC17CP46 ecu on the bench – This is a pre GPT ecu so just two lives , Earth , CAN hIgh, Can Low and two boot pins on teh board. 2 hours after starting the Merc is now faster smoother and more economical
Merc E350 CDi Remapping
ECU Remapped 01/04/2017
Gain 38BHP 85Nm
Second in and Its a bit of Deja Vu – a 2012 White Mercedes Convertible – and same ecu – same location and same software number – Little quicker this time and same great results
BMW E90 320D Remap
ECU Remapped 04/04/2017
Gain 40BHp 80Nm
Another returning customer here at FlashRemapping and his second BMW – this was the edc17 version but still mappable via teh OBD port as it was pre March 2009 and hadnt had software updates that can include the anti-tune modification. Not that that would stop us just means we would have to tune the ecu on the bench. The car is now a lot quicker and smoother, driven sensible the mpg will also improve
BMW X3 2,0d Remap
ECU remapped 06/04/2017
Gain 40BHp 80Nm
great gains in power from the 2.0d X3 – Its a bit of a longer process on these edc16c35 ecus as the OBD read takes and hour and 10 minutes just to extract the software from the car but a 5 minute write after modification and the car is now a whole bunch faster and more economical too
Audi S6 5.2 v10 Remapping
ECUs Remapped 07/04/2017
Gain 32BHp 55nm
adorned with 429Bhp in stock form the Audi is no slouch but throttle response was a little flat – Remapping teh twin me9 ecus via teh OBD port is quite a long process but its well worth it – Throttle response is now electric and more power throughout the rev range. Some cars are just a pleasure to work on, I could listen to that exhaust note all day long
Ford Focus 2 St Remap
ECU Remapped 10/04/2017
Gain 50BHp 100Nm
This was the ST3 which comes loaded with leather interior etc, Same 225BHp engine which is really tunable and with a Bosch ME9 ecu its simple too – quick read and write via the OBD port and this focus is now properly quick
Audi a4 2.0 Tdi Quatro Remap
ECU Remapped 10/04/2017
Gian 40BHp 80Nm
Totally loaded 2.0 Tdi 2013 Audi A4 Quattro in a great colour – Remapping these post 2009 Audis can be done via the OBD port as long as we have matching software on our database and in this case we did saving the time to remove the ecu to tune on teh bench. The car is now faster and more responsive with improved fuel economy
Ford Transit L3 H3 2.2 TDCi Remap
ECU Remapped 11/04/2017
Gain 55Bhp 75Nm
This is a big old ( well 2014 so not so old) transit which comes with a paltry 125Bhp standard – that couldnt pull the flake out of a 99 ice cream – We can do something about that after a long wrestle with Fords idea of a great place to put an ecu we had the Siemens SID208 out and on the bench for tuning – The gins are mighty impressive and will now carry its 3.5 tonne pay load with ease
Vauxhall Vivaro 1.9 cdti Remap
ECU Remapped 11/04/2017
Gain 25Bhp 50Nm
I dont know how the owner lasted so long driving an 80Bhp Vivaro – It must be very frustrating – Still its better now with a modest but very useful 25BHp gain and an extra 50Nm of torque – it may be kept on for a few more years now
Vauxhall Antara 2.0 CDTi Remap
ECU Remapped 12/04/2017
Gain 38BHp 75Nm
Now is it that these are a bit inconspicuous or are they a bit rare – Cant say I can remember remapping one before either. Its a bit of a cross in that it has the later 2.0 cdti engine but with an older edc16c39 ecu. I was a bit concerned that like a.9 cdti that use this ecu we dont see a full set of data tables from the OBD read – but this vehicle actually uses a different communication protocol – The read was full enough to modify from the OBD read and the gains make a very nice difference
Mercedes Sprinter 515 Remap
ECU Remapped 12/04/2017
Gain 38BHp 75Nm
The 515 is a big old sprinter that uses that 2148cc Mercedes engine that is good for big miles and two turbos
150Bhp standard is OK but if carrying anything near a full load its going to struggle a bit – The remap is quick and makes a big difference to the drivability once I got teh laptop off the drivers seat where the sunlight was playing havoc with visibility
Audi A4 2.0 TDi Remap
ECU Remapped 13/04/2017
Gain 40BHp 80Nm
A nice easy job to set us up for the weekend an EDC16 OBD remap on a well known engine – the only odd thing was despite being a 2005 vehicle it communitacated via can line rather than k-line. Never mind all sorted and the car is now faster , smoother and more economical – now how long is it till a nice long weekend to enjoy it – ah yes that will be tomorrow then
Ford Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost Remap
ECU Remapped 18/04/2017
Gain 25BHp 40Nm
Already with 125Bhp this little fiesta is already quite spritely but remapping it is a no brainer, quick and easy OBD remap of the med17.2 ecu even waiting for a driver the car was mapped in just over an hour. The difference is fantastic so much more rewarding to drive
BMW E60 520D Remap
ECU Remaped 19/04/2017
Gain 50Bhp 90Nm
Paul has been so happy with his SAAB since we remapped it he called us back to give his 520d some extra power – This one is the 161 Bhp version with the EDC16 ecu so remappable via the OBD port and despite being a longish read the job is completed in just over an hour giving the car a baotload of extra torque
Citroen Nemos Remapping
ECUS remapped 26/04/2017
Gain 18Bhp 28Nm
Two Nemos found and remapped today for improved drivability and better fuel economy – part of a larger fleet we will remapping over the coming weeks
Ford Fiesta 1.6 TDCi Remap
ECU Remapped 30/04/2017
Gain 28Bhp 55Nm
Great gains from the 88Bhp 1.6 TDCI Fiesta – Its a bit of an odd one this as the same engine and ecu combination in a mk5 fiesta can be remapped via the OBD port but it cannot in a mk6 so we have to remove the Bosch edc16c34 ecu to tune on the bench – I have seen people struggle with removing these but if you go slow and steady its not much bother – Battery out – remove security bolt – unplug ecu and remove battery tray and ecu together and detach ecu – whole job done in 2 hours and the smile from Joe after the test drive tells us we have as usual a very happy customer
