 Mercedes E350 Cdi Coupe Remap

ECU Remapped 04/08/2015 in Herne Bay
Gain 38BHp 85Nm
Bit of a pain to do these 3 litre 350 CDIs as its a bench tune and the ecu is located in the inner wing – We have done plenty though so its not a problem – Ignoring the bald tyre and two crossthreaded wheel nuts we had the ecu on the bench and reading in 15 minutes and the whole remap completed comfortably inside 2 hours – Its throttle response is now fantastic and the extra power most welcome – the extra mpg wont go amiss either

 

Mercedes Vito 115 Remap

Gain 35BHp 70Nm Blend Remap
My system identified the wrong version of edc16 in this Vito but we know better than to walk away – quickly flipped the ecu out and read the 02810 number and found which version it was and then it read correctly via the OBD port – 1 hour and the leggy yet good condition Mercedes Vito is back to work – more powerful yet more economical – yep thats right power and economy all in 1 map

Skoda Superb 2.0 TDi 170 Remap

This 2013 Superb needed a bench tune as we did not have original software for this upg number which is quite a surprise now as we have most – its only 2 hours to get the ecu out read and write and have the car running again now with improved vigour. Of course if we see another with this upg sw number we will be able to tune OBD so it is worth doing for the future

Ford Transit Custom Remap

OK I admit it these are not my favourite jobs to do – the custom is different to the regular transit – and the ecu it a right pain to get out to tune on the bench still 2 and a half hours its all back together and running great – It nothing against the van its a super van especially in black and drives really well just those fools at Ford putting the ecu in a fiddly place

VW Golf TDi 115 Remap

Gain 35BHp 70Nm
2001 on a 51 plate and this is one of the earliest golfs we can tune OBD and what a difference it makes 115 to 150 bhp is a really nice jump giving a much livlier drive and improved fuel economy – The mk 4 was always a great shaped Golf and even now nerly 14 years old it still looks good

BMW E60 530D EGR Delete

If you think you have seen this car before you have – we uned it about a year ago giving a healthy 42bhp 90Nm gain.
The customer wanted to delete the EGR valve and popped in – we had teh file prepared and 30 minutes later he was on his way with the new software installed deleting the EGR duty cycle and no more problems

Ford Focus 1.8 TDCi Remap and EGR Delete

Tony popped in to ask about the troublesome egr valve on his Focus – It had been blanked of previously but was getting error code p0489 and it was blanked in the wrong position – We explained what we do and went ahead with deleting the EGR from the map and we thought we would give him a little remap treat while were about it 35 extra bhp and 65nm of torque sure make a difference to the Dagenham Dustbin. A cheeky smile on the way back from the test drive and we knew he was happy – no EML and plenty of poke

Subaru Forrester 2.0 XT Turbo Remap

Gain 30 BHp 55Nm
The quoted gains are at peak = through the rev range we can see 45BHp 80Nm on these cars – We do not aim for a big peak bhp figure but more to give a wider more usable power range – We also fitted a Simota panel air filter to the car which will help the car breath more easily – All in a great car despite being 10 years old there is not a sign of rust or wear anywhere no wonder they are sort after by those in the know

Ford Transit 2.4 TDCI 115 Remap

Ah yes the Old Ford Transit – workhorse to thousands, this flat bed is one of a few run by a roofing/ building company and does a great job but is a touch sluggish when loaded and was also having an egr fault – now mapped its a whole bunch more torquey and egr duty cycle removed to get rid of that fault – happy days

Ford Transit 2.2 TDCI 85 Remap

Now this transit is definitely not a workhorse – just 26k miles and just look at it its immaculate with st alloys and exhaust – the paintwork in metallic black still glistens with the metal flakes – So ST looks but no go – the extra 30 BHp makes a massive difference and now the van does get along very nicely – now where are all these vans when Im looking to buy one LOL

Porsche 997 3.8 Carrera s remap

Not the biggest gains in BHP bvut throttle response and mid range torque vastly improved – pulls a lot better at lower revs

Vauxhall Insignia 2.0 CDTi 165BHp Remap

The Vauxhall Insignia upped its BHP from 160 to 165 BHp this in itself isnt a big change but to us that means an edc17cp59 ecu rather than the cp18/19 and that needs gpt leads attached and some resistors soldered onto teh ecu on teh bench ad that need some highly accurate soldering – Takes a while to do but its worthwhile nice power gains super smooth and better fuel economy

BMW Swirl Flap Removal

A very popular upgrade for diesel BMWs is removing the swirl flaps – preferably before they have broken off and been ingested by your engine causing massive damage – this can be done along with your remap if required – also egr blanking is available

Vauxhall Astra J 1,6 Remap

The 1.6 litre 16v Astra J is very underwhelming to drive accelerator does seem attached to the engine and flat spots all over the place – while a remap does not give massive power gains a sharper throttle and smoother power delivery are most welcome

Ford C-MAX 1.6 TDCi Remap

Nice old Siemens 807 ecu that needs tuning on the bench – not too much trouble though and now the C-max goaes a lot better origionally 109 bhp now around 140 that makes a heck of a difference

Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0 CRD Remap

The Trusted Tuner dealer network are a close bunch of talented and knowledgeable engine tuners and technicians so when our friends at Tweaked Performance asked if we could help out when tuning a brand new Jeep Cherokee we were straight round and between us we had the big 4WD driving in a much more enthusiastic manor – much less throttle hesitation and more get up and go – Now if we can stop Gerald driving like a lunatic on the test drive things would be a lot better – still he does make a lovely cuppa 

Audi A4 B8 3.2 Quattro Remap

This Audi had a siemens Simos 8.2 ecu – that means we have to open the ecu and unlock it before we can tune OBD – its a bit of a pain but thats the only way – just over 2 hours though and the car is more lively and smoother

Mitsubishi L200 2.5 DI-D 134Bhp Remp

The lower powered of the L200 range is a big chunk of a vehicle but although its more powerful than the old squarer L200 really isnt enough – well Mitsubishi didnt work too hard to get just 134Bhp from a 2.5 litre engine did they – Fortunately we can now read and write these Mitsubishis OBD so 45 minutes start to finish and the truck is much faster and more economical

Audi A3 2.0 TDi Remap

Now I wouldnt pick a yellow A3 myself but actually with black leather and black 18s this looked kinda smart – If you have a larey colour you need a bit of ooph to back it up and our remap adds the sparkle that it was previously lacking – now around teh 180Bhp mark its go some get up and go and still plenty of mpg

Ford Cougar 2.5 Remap

Its not all new BMWs and Mercs here at FlashRemapping we tune some older vehicles too – this 1999 Cougar is a favourite of its owner and is tunable OBD although we didnt have a settings file for this software variant we soon had one made and the car is now just that bit more lively that makes it feel “keen” rather than lethargic

Mercedes E220 cdi w212 Remap

Jerry the Jag has a new car and its not a Jag like his old xj diesel this time its a Merc and a very nice Black Amg Line one too – but it lacks a bit of sparkle – The remap makes all the difference – throttle response and earlier get up and go make this car a lot easier to live with.
I m not sure Jerry the Merc will catch on though – he will always be Jerry the Jag who drives a Merc

BMW 118D Remap

Great gains from this 2011 118d Bmw – would have been a simple bench tune but for the persistent rain this morning – now its all back together it seems to have stopped – yeah thanks for that – still its well worthwhile – lots of extra power here and more mpg if driven even remotely sensibly

Seat Toledo 2.3 V5 Remap

Usually 18 BHp 22Nm gains from these 2.3 litre v5 Vag group engines but we also fitted a Simota panel air filter as well so that will add just a couple more – The Simota air filters and similar to KandN and replace the standard cardboard element but these are non oiled so MAF problems likely – they also last a lifetime so good value in the long run – The car itself went nicely with improved throttle response and picks up a bit earlier just what is required

Mercedes w906 Sprinter Remap

This was a low mileage 313 sprinter so 129bhp in stock form that needed a bit of help especially when piulling in longer gears when laden – The remapping certainly helps this and will return better fuel economy too

BMW 645i Remap

There is no replacement for displacement as they say over the pond – well there is its called forced induction but who couldnt love a 4.4 litre v8 6 series cabriolet – a proper grand tourer – waft around with the v8 burble not even trying too hard lovely – mapping just gives it the edge better throttle response, bit more power and removal of that pesky 155mph speed limiter thats always getting in the way. thankfully unleaded fuel is now down to £1.10 a litre
