ECU Remapping, Chipping and Chip Tuning
FlashRemapping, June 2013
BMW 520D 2006 E60 163Bhp Remap
ECU Remapped 01/06/2013 with DPF Delete
Gain 37BHp 75Nm
This BMW had the DPF removed after it caused problems but had not been remapped out – the engine light was not on the dash but was on when we connected our fault code reader – we cleared the fault code and remapped the ecu with a blend remap and DPF delete – much better more power better throttle response and more BHP and Torque – this is a blend remap we can get bigger gains from this engine from 163bhp to 217 which is amazing to drive
Ford Fiesta V1 1.4 Tdci 68Bhp Remap
ECU Remapped 02/06/2013
Gain 18Bhp 39Nm
Ok so this isn’t the fastest car in the world but the gain from its lowly 68 Bhp to 86Bhp makes a real nice difference and improved fuel economy too
Saab 9-3 Aero 210BHp Remap
ECU Remapped 06/06/2013
Gain 40Bhp 80Nm
Already a swift vehicle the remap has made this Swedish soft top not just faster but so much smoother – Noticed immediately by the owner who said it was so smooth he didn’t realise how fast he was going till he looked at the speedo – well we do like to do things properly
Porsche 911 (997) Turbo S Gen2 PDK 530Bhp Remap
ECU Remapped 06/06/2013
Gain 30BHp 60Nm
This car is off on an adventure – Wrapped in Matt Black with Martini decals going on as I was remapping it – Nice gains here with much sharper throttle response – There will be more details on this car coming as the adventure unfolds
Audi A6 2.7 TDi 180Bhp LeMans Remap
ECU Remapped 07/06/2013
Gain 40BHp 85Nm Blend Remap
These 2.7 Audi Tdis don’t really give the power you would expect 180bhp considering the 2.0 litres are 140 or 170 bhp and the 3 litres 230 or 240bhp so this gives us a huge amount of scope for tuning
we can get a maximum 50bhp and 110Nm with a performance remap which makes the big Audi a bigger pleasure to drive
VW Caravelle 2.5Tdi 174Bhp Auto Remap
ECU Remapped 12/06/2013
Gain 38Bhp 75Nm
These Transporters are one of my favourite vehicles and the most powerful of the T5s is the 2.5 174Bhp version this one is now about 212BHp that is a fair amount of power even with a slush box
Audi A3 2.0 Tfsi 197Bhp Remap
ECU Remapped 12/06/2013
Gain 45BHp 90Nm
Our website claims 40BHp 80Nm gain but I have seen so many of these cars give more its more likely to be the figures above – even with the dsg gearbox in this one it was immediately a lot quicker with improved throttle response
Vauxhall Vectra 1.9 Cdti Remap
ECU Remapped and DPF Delete 13/06/2013
Gain 35Bhp 70Nm
Another Vauxhall with a blocked DPF this one being an Auto with 55K miles. Its still too soon for these components to be failing – option to replace or remove, well it will only block again so removal is the way to go with a soft remap as well now goes very well and no more DPF problems ever
BMW X5 E53 3.0D Remap
ECU Remapped 15/06/2013
Gain 42BHp 110Nm
These E53 X5s are still a good looking and practical car and the 3.0d engine is probably the best one to choose but 218BHp can always be improved – now 260ish Bhp and improved fuel economy – a definitely worthwhile remap
Renault Laguna 3 2.0dci Remap
ECU Remapped 17/06/2013
Gain 33Bhp 65Nm ( Blend Remap )
Thank you very much Renault for making such a difficult key system meaning to turn dash on you have to put car in gear and push the start button but no problem to remap these later Lagunas – Here at FlashRemapping we can also remap these with no problems to the cruise control that most tuners seem to struggle with
VW Transporter GP 2.0 TDi 84 Remap
ECU Remapped 17/06/2013
Gain 40BHp 80Nm
I love the Transporters and the latest GPs are excellent especially as the rear is versatile in layout – this one as a camper – The ecu does require tuning on the bench but we have remapped so many of these now it was done in well under 2 hours and the results are amazing – even when fitted with the BMW X5 wheels
Alfa Romeo Spider 2.4 JTD 200Bhp Remap
ECU Remapped 17/06/2013
Gain 40BHp 85Nm
You don’t see many of these about but they are drop dead gorgeous two seater lekky roofed Alfa.
And 200BHp its no slouch to start with but the remap makes it amazing – move over petrolheads the dieselheads are taking over
Mercedes ML350CDi Blue Efficiency Remap
ECU Remapped 24/06/2013
Gain 42BHp 130Nm
The ML is a touch of the poor brother of the BMW X5, the way it drives is a lot more lazy than the spritely X5 but some people prefer that type of driving – always better when you can give it more power though and improved fuel economy too
BMW 335i Auto Remap
ECU Remapped 24/06/2013
Gain 78BHp 90Nm
The BMW 335i is a swift vehicle in stock form but with two turbos there is a lot more we can do – as usual its a slow read on the msd80 ecu but worth the wait for all that extra power
Audi A3 2.0 TDi 170Bhp DPF Removal
DPF Removed and Software delete 25/06/2013
These DPFs are blocking up all over the place – first the coil light starts flashing – dpf cleaner added but makes no difference. A blast down the motorway helps… temporarily but the light starts coming on more and more regularly and then engine management light and your in limp mode – £1600 to replace with the main stealer or £500 to completely remove it with FlashRemapping . The choice is yours
VW Tiguan 2.0 TDi 140Bhp Remap
ECU Remapped 25/06/2013
Gain 40BHp 80Nm
The R-Line Tiguan is really nice especially in white but a bit underpowered for Steve who does like a powerful car – the EDC17C46 is an awkward bench tune but the results are well worth persisting over ( and I have a new way of getting around the security bolts on this particular car that makes it a lot easier~).
Now its a lot swifter on the pickup and overtaking
Suzuki Grand Virara 2.4 Remap
ECU Remapped 27/06/2013
Gain 10BHp 16Nm ( Blue Optimize)
Not a very common car to remap the petrol version of the Grand Vitara not like its DDiS brother which we regularly tune. If fact so rare even after reading the ecu data we had to develop a driver to find the maps within the coding – still with the aim of economy in mind some adjustments to fueling, torque limiters and timing this should be 5-8% better on fuel even on a Nasp petrol vehicle
The top picture is the Denso ECU from the Suzuki Grand Vitara 2.4
Possibly the hardest ecu I’ve ever had the pleasure of opening – and the soldering for reading and writing not to be sniffed at either
Mercedes CLK 270CDI Remap
ECU Remapped 29/06/2013
Gain 40Bhp 100Nm
Library photo
this CLK had brabus bodykit and wheels setting it apart from the usual but the 170BHp from the stock 270cdi engine was very staid – much better now with a Remap
Range Rover Sport 2.7 TDV6 Remap
ECU Remapped 29/06/2013
Gain 38BHp 95Nm
Library photo
The Range Rover Sport is a smart looking vehicle but the 2.7 tdv6 is a touch lethargic – fortunately we have vast experience tuning these vehicles and now its a lot better
