2016 Mercedes Vito 114 Remap

Gain 80Bhp 160Nm
Yes you did read that right 80Bhp 160Nm – No wonder manufacturers dont like tuners – Mercedes Vito W447 shape 114/116 and 119 are the same engine , turbo etc so we can tune a 114d to a tuned 119 standard. Now im sure a lot of other tuners will jump on this now but we have been there and have the t-shirt – this van is very new, less than 1k on the clock but its owner was keen to map it as we have tuned his last 3 vans – when we looked into this it did seem possible but until you have read the file from the edc17cp66 ecu and lined it up with a 119 you are never sure. Spot a plumber with a cheesy grin it could be Rob cruising past you – Now what I dont understand is why are plumbers never on time ?

Vauxhall Astra 2.0 CDTi 160PS Remap

Gain 30BHp 60NM
This 2010 Astra needs tuning on the bench but its an easy ecu out job and unlike the later versions that are 165ps its just a single pin on the Bosch edc17c19 ECU. The difference is very impressive the car drives a lot more like you would want it to being enthusiastic rather than lethargic – Improved fuel economy too from our remapping

Land Rover Discovery SDV6 3.0 Remap

unlike the Astra we remapped earlier the ecu doesnt come out so easily from the 3.0 SDV6 Land Rover Discovery 4. We have however remapped hundreds of these so getting the battery out and ecu on the bench is second nature – although lifting the mahoosive battery over the wing doesnt get any easier – straightforward to remap on the becnh and the Disco is back partying 90 minutes later

Range Rover Vogue 3.0 TD6 Remap

From tow bench tunes earlier to the easiest of easy remaps – 2 minute read down the plug – simple maps and a 2 minute write but dont mistake the ease for the benefits of remapping the 3 litre 6 cylinder BMW engine – If you have one of these you know it couldnt pull the skin off a rice pudding – Remapping makes it possible to live with

Nissan X-Trail 2.0 DCi Remap

This was one of the now old shape X-Trails although a late one 2011 it still uses the edc16 ecu that we can tune via the OBD port – after a struggle to get the key apart so I could use the key in conventional manner rather than it just being in the vehicle – we remapped the truck in about an hour making sure we had a copy of injector codes as these are prone to loosing them during programming – no problem there and its now a whole lot less lethargic especially from take off where it felt slow before

Vauxhall Vivaro 1.6 CDTi 120Bhp Remap

Gain 55Bhp 85Nm
This is the new Vivaro with a tiddly 1.6 litre diesel engine – however it is Bi-Turbo so that helps and the 120BHp and 140BHp are identical engines so we can go a little crazy on the tuning making it a 140 first and then tuning that – The difference is amazing – Its a properly quick van now – Have a look what the price difference is between a 120 and a 140 from the Main Stealerxxxx Dealer – about £2500 – We can remap these via the OBD port in around an hour

VW Golf MK4 1.8T Remap

Gain 40BHp 80Nm
First in today was a 2001 VW Golf GTi 1.8T – We know these engines well and they remap up extremely well – We scanned the car for faults first as these are prone for plug/coil pack missfires but the whole car was clean of faults bar a dodgy passenger door c/l fault – Its done well for its 15 years – The remap gains really nice power from the 1.8T engine

Alfa Romeo GT 2.0 JTS Remap

Gain 13BHp 20Nm
A petrol Alfa GT is a bit of a rarity – most of these cool coupes has a Fiat Diesel engine but the petrol one does go nicely – JTS stands for Jet Thrust Stoichiometric – yeah I know who knew – The remap is done on the bench but its an easy ecu to remove and a BDM probe gets the read and write done quite easily. Its more enthustiastic on the raod more torque throughout the rev range and better throttle response

VW Golf 7 GTD Remap

Gain 35BHp 70Nm
Despite being a tri-core ecu with tuning protection we can in 95% of cases remap these Golfs via the OBD port – We have a huge database of stock software which enables us to do this meaning in just over an hour we have made the quickest diesel golf quite a bit quicker – If driven sensibly will also improve fuel economy

Jaguar F Type R Remap

Some cars just ooze quality and sportiness, the new Jaguar F type R is one of those – a pleasure t work on – adding 40BHp to the stock 551Bhp doesn’t seem like a massive increase but its still very noticeable with a sharper throttle response. I may have to go check the piggy bank see how the new car fund is progressing

Renault Megane 3 2.0 RS Remap

If you see a BMW or Mercedes going down the road you kind of expect it to be pretty fast, A ford with big bodykit is probably going to be the same – Its nice though when you get a car that is a surprise, A mazda 3 mps is one and the megane rs trubo is another 250BHp in stock form and now getting close on the big 300BHp thats very impressive – subtle rather than in your face styling and only those who know know. To anyone else your not trying to be too flash but put your foot down and it brings a cheesy grin to your face
