Ferrari ECU Remapping
In 1928 Enzo Ferrari set up Scuderia Ferrari ( Ferrari Stable ) as a sponsor for amateur drivers in Modena Italy. The intention was not to produce road cars but they raced Alfa Romeos for 10 sucessful years until Enzo was hired directly by Alfa to head their racing department. War years and Alfas confiscation by Mussolini meant things went quiet until Ferrari launched their first road car in 1947 – a 1.5 litre v12 to fund the racing team. The rest is fantastic history with cars that adourned our bedroom walls like the Daytona, the Terstarossa, F40 and the list goes on and on. So famous are the Ferrari brand that even colours are recognisable such as Ferrari red and Gallio fly yellow.
Ferraris are finely tuned vehicles but that does not mean FlashRemapping are beaten. ECU remapping and chip tuning of Ferraris is quite common place and some decent gains in performance are achievable with the correct tuning.
