ECU Remapping for Honda
Honda of Japan are currently the world’s 6th largest automobile manufacturer and the largest motorbike manufacturer, they are in fact the largest ( by numbers) builder of internal combustion engines in the world. They were the first Japanese car company to introduce a specific luxury brand, Acura in 1986.
Honda have been involved in motorsport for many years producing F1 engines and motorbikes that have competed at the highest level. Here in the UK, Honda are known for producing reliable cars that are possibly a little bland, but in more recent times they have moved more to luxury and sporty, such as the “type R” and “type S” varieties of their models. The current Civic is in fact one of the more “futuristic” looking cars available on the market.
Currently we have a limited number of Hondas that we are able to remap as the ECUs on Hondas have more specific protocols that are only accessible with systems such as Hondata. However as I write this report a new system is winging its way to FlashRemapping Towers that will give us access to many many more models – watch this space for details.
