Porsche Remapping
Founded in 1931 in Germany by Ferdinand Porshe, an Austrian born engineer and designer of the VW Beetle. The first Porsche were developed using many components from the Beetle. Ferdinand’s son Ferry made what many regard as the first Porsche the 356 in a small sawmill and this was road certified in 1948. Sixteen years later the Portsche 911 was born after some success racing the 550 – it had a rear mounted, air cooled,6 cylinder “boxer” engine. The layout that can still be seen in modern 911s.
