ECU Remapping, Car Chipping and Chip Tuning for Saab

Car Chipping ServicesSaab were part of Swedish Aerospace from 1937 till 1990 and the key placement in the centre consol harks back to this part of their history. from 1968 to 1995 they were merged with the truck manufacturer Skania forming Saab-Skania. Saab was owned by General Motors from 1990 till 2010 and lots of engine and platform sharing can be seen here. They are a premium brand car manufacturer but their ownership was under question until recently when GM sold their interest to Spyker Cars – hopefully they will have a brighter future now.

Early 96 and 99 models had “marmite” styling and the 99 bought in a Turbo version which really did have a kick. Viggen also did some tuning for Saabs and there are a few of these pretty hot versions around and well worth looking out for. More recently TiD and TTid (twin turbo) diesel versions with engines brought over from GM have been best sellers especially for those who travel long distances as Saab seats are some of the most comfortable in the business.
